Your Volvo is due for major service. A Volvo factory trained technician will use specialized equipment to verify that the computer modules operating properly. At this time we also change your brake fluid and inspect the front and rear brake linings and mechanical components. A qualified Volvo technician will also inspect your steering linkage for excessive free play, binding or damage. It is also time to address your engine's heating and cooling system. Over time your engine coolant becomes contaminated, losing its ability to protect your engine from rust and corrosion, which can lead to premature engine/gasket failure. The coolant is serviced at this time to prevent this type of failure. The engine air filter is also replaced at this time, because a restricted air filter can cause poor engine performance and decreased mileage. The passenger compartment cabin filter is replaced at this mileage. The engine oil & filter is replaced, and the service reminder light is reset. All fluid levels, drive belts and hoses are visually inspected for wear. We also install new wiper blades at this service interval. It may also be time to replace the spark plugs -- please see your service advisor for the factory recommended service intervals.
